What we can show you, and what we cannot
We are a cosmetics brand, not a pharmaceutical one, so this page sets out exactly what we can show you and what we cannot. Everything below is either a measurable property of the product, a figure from our own customer data, or a public fact about the company that makes it.
The mechanism we are working on
A leave-in oil treatment works on the cuticle. It smooths the scales down, adds slip so the comb does not tear at the fibre, and leaves a film that takes some of the thermal and mechanical load. That is a cosmetic effect on the outside of the hair, and it is the only thing we claim.
A leave-in cosmetic hair treatment in a sealed single-dose capsule.
Each capsule holds 1 ml of a blend built on argan and jojoba oil in a light silicone base. You twist the tip off, work it through damp mid-lengths and ends, and leave it in. Nothing is rinsed, and nothing is swallowed.

Read the label
Hair is dead tissue. Once a strand leaves the follicle it cannot repair itself.
The outer layer, the cuticle, is a sheath of overlapping scales. Heat, bleach, colour, sun, hard water and mechanical friction lift those scales. A lifted cuticle scatters light instead of reflecting it, which is what reads as dull; it lets moisture leave the fibre, which is what reads as dry; and it exposes the cortex, which is where breakage starts.
Everything after the follicle is protection or damage

The dose is fixed at 1 ml, and the oil has never met air.
A pump bottle gives whatever your hand decides. Too little does nothing; too much weighs fine hair down by lunchtime. Plant oils oxidise on contact with oxygen and light, so a capsule is filled and sealed before that can start — the last capsule in the jar is in the same condition as the first.
No preservative system needed · the contents are not exposed until use

Heat protection to 220 °C, stated for the film on damp hair before styling.
That sits above where domestic straighteners top out, and protection only works if it is on the strand before the plate is. A single capsule is 1 ml, so the 100 ml hand-luggage rule is not in play.

4.67 out of 5, averaged across roughly 36,300 published ratings.
We do not have a clinical trial, and we will not present customer reviews as one. 95% of reviewers say they would buy it again, and no safety complaints are recorded in that published review data. Repurchase intent is the figure we watch hardest, because a cosmetic that does nothing does not get re-ordered.

What we do not claim
We think you are owed this list as plainly as the one above.
-
We do not claim it grows hair.
Growth happens in the follicle, below the skin. A leave-in treatment cannot reach it.
-
We do not claim it repairs damage.
Damage to a dead fibre is permanent. A treatment can smooth, bind and shield; it cannot undo.
-
We make no medical or therapeutic claim of any kind.
Ellips is not a medicine and not a food supplement.
-
We have not run a randomised controlled trial.
Not on this product — and you should be sceptical of any cosmetic brand that implies one without publishing it.
These limits are not modesty. Under Regulation (EU) No 655/2013, a cosmetic claim in the European Union has to be supportable by adequate evidence, and growth or repair claims for a leave-in product of this type would not be.
Ownership, accounts and factories are public record
Ellips is Asia's No.1 hair vitamin by its parent company's own account, introduced in 2005 as the pioneer of the category. It is made by PT Kino Indonesia Tbk, a consumer-goods company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange under the ticker KINO — which means its ownership, accounts and factory footprint are matters of public record rather than marketing copy.
Kino began in 1999 as PT Kinocare Era Kosmetindo with a single factory and 58 employees, and now reports eight corporate groups, five factories and more than 8,000 employees. The Ellips range covers hair vitamin capsules, hair mist, hair mask, leave-on conditioner and dry shampoo. Kino has been recognised as Consumer Goods of the Year for Hair Care in Indonesia at the FMCG Asia Awards.

The description of Ellips as the number one hair vitamin in Asia is the parent company's own positioning, and we present it as that rather than as an independently audited market statistic.
It is all printed on the jar
The full INCI ingredient list, the directions and the storage conditions are printed on every jar, and the same information is on the product page. If anything on this page is unclear, or you want the safety documentation, write to info@ellips.lt and we will send what we have.
